Banana ice cream is one of those treats that’s super easy to make, and it tastes amazing!
It’s creamy and sweet, and the best part is—that you don’t need an ice cream maker!
All you need are some ripe bananas and a few simple ingredients, and you can make a yummy treat that’s also pretty healthy.
Let’s get into it!
What You’ll Need:
4 ripe bananas (the more spots, the sweeter they are!)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional for extra flavor)
A pinch of salt (optional, but it helps balance the sweetness)
Fun extras like chocolate chips, nuts, or berries (if you want to mix things up!)
How to Make It:
Step 1: Slice Up the Bananas
Start by peeling your bananas and cutting them into small chunks. The smaller the pieces, the faster they’ll freeze and blend!
Step 2: Freeze the Bananas
Place the banana pieces on a baking sheet or tray in a single layer—don’t let them touch each other. Stick them in the freezer for about 2-3 hours until they’re completely frozen.
Tip: You can also leave them overnight if you’re in no rush!

Step 3: Blend It All Together
Once your bananas are frozen, put them in a food processor or blender.
Pulse a few times to start breaking them up. At first, it might look crumbly, but just keep blending, and soon it’ll turn into smooth, creamy ice cream!
Step 4: Scrape and Blend Again
Stop the blender, scrape down the sides, and blend again. After a few seconds, it should look like soft-serve ice cream. If it’s too thick, just add a splash of milk (any kind works!) to help it mix better.
Step 5: Add Some Flavor (Optional)
Now, if you want to make it extra tasty, you can add a little vanilla extract or a pinch of salt. You can also throw in some extras like chocolate chips, nuts, or peanut butter. It’s all up to you!
Step 6: Freeze It for a Firmer Texture (Optional)
If you like your ice cream more firm, transfer it to a container and freeze it for another 1-2 hours. It’ll get a little harder but still be easy to scoop!
Step 7: Serve and Enjoy
Once you’re happy with the texture, scoop it into bowls or cones. You can top it with whatever you like—chocolate syrup, berries, or even granola for some crunch. And that’s it! You’ve got yourself some homemade banana ice cream!
A Few Tips:
Ripe Bananas = Sweet Ice Cream: The more ripe your bananas are, the sweeter and creamier your ice cream will be.
Get Creative: You can add all sorts of things—cinnamon, cocoa powder, frozen strawberries, or mangoes. Have fun with it!
This banana ice cream is perfect for a hot day or when you just want a quick and healthy snack.
It’s made from just fruit, so you can feel good about enjoying it!💖👇✨
