If you’re a brownie lover but want to skip the eggs and dairy, you’re in for a treat!

These vegan brownies are rich, fudgy, and totally satisfying—just like the classic ones you know and love, but with a plant-based twist.

Whether you’re vegan or just looking to try something new, these brownies are easy to make and full of chocolatey goodness.

Let’s get baking now!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil or vegetable oil (melted)

  • 1 cup sugar (you can use white or coconut sugar)

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (this replaces the eggs)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk (almond, oat, soy, or any kind you like)

  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional, but totally worth it)

How to Make It:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil. This helps ensure the brownies come out easily once baked.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. This will make sure everything is evenly distributed before you mix in the wet ingredients.

Step 3: Combine the Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil (or vegetable oil), sugar, applesauce, vanilla extract, and non-dairy milk. You want everything to be smooth and well combined.

Step 4: Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients

Now, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir everything together until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix—it’s okay if the batter is a little thick!

Step 5: Add Chocolate Chips (Optional)

If you’re adding chocolate chips (and why wouldn’t you?), fold them into the batter gently. This will add some extra gooeyness to your brownies!

Step 6: Pour the Batter into the Pan

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula to make sure it’s even.

Step 7: Bake the Brownies

Pop the pan into your preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes. The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

For extra fudgy brownies, you can take them out a little earlier; for cakier ones, let them bake a bit longer.

Step 8: Let Them Cool and Slice

Once the brownies are done, take them out of the oven and let them cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares. This step helps them set and makes them easier to slice.

Tips for Perfect Vegan Brownies:

  • Check the Consistency: If your batter seems too thick, you can add a bit more non-dairy milk to loosen it up. You want it to be spreadable but not runny.

  • Storage: These brownies will stay fresh in an airtight container at room temperature for 3–4 days. You can also freeze them for up to a month—just be sure to wrap them tightly!

  • Try Different Mix-ins: Want to get creative? Add nuts, dried fruit, or even a swirl of peanut butter for a fun twist on the classic.

These vegan brownies are super easy to make and perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings.

They’re rich, fudgy, and full of flavor—plus, no one will ever guess they’re vegan! Enjoy every gooey bite!💖👇✨
